In my studio you will find bags, accessories and homeware using the iconic cloth ‘Harris Tweed’ woven in the Outer Hebrides, governed by it’s own act of Parliament. I feel privileged to be able to work with this fantastic fabric with all it’s history and very bright future.
I don’t keep to the same selection of the tweeds as I want to be able to use any colour/pattern that takes my eye… like a child in a sweetie shop. All the bags are interfaced with an interlining so the bag is structured but not rigid, and lined in batik to compliment the tweed – the brighter the better!
What you see on these pages is just a taster of what is on offer when you visit my studio. My working ethos is to walk into my studio, pick up a piece of tweed and think to myself “what am I going to make today”… I love what I do!
